Rheim Alkadhi is an artist who implements a variable practice. Her work is driven by word-forms toward a vocabulary of behaviors, images, and objects. Born in 1973, she grew up in a cross-cultural family with roots in Baghdad and New England. Her years as a child in Iraq left her with the linguistic referents and aesthetic systems that inform her practice today. As a result, her work is a visual engagement with war from a psychological standpoint, and often through an absurdist lens.
This website is a working inventory of art and art-related practices, as presented by Rheim Alkadhi.
The artist will live at three, surely, and far beyond.
