It was agreed that lovers, variously estranged, would meet at the one-mile mark of the Adhamiya wall for a group portrait.
The resulting photo would be passed through a narrow gap to a reciprocal party mirroring the effort on the wall’s opposite side.
And after committing the pictures to memory, the lovers disperse.
